Halloween, when the ghosts, ghouls and goblins come out to walk amongst us! It\u2019s a night for scary festivities and all the candy you can trick-or-treat for. But Richmond likes to celebrate on more than just one day.<\/p>\n
Leading up to Halloween many places in Richmond have tours and attractions going all the way up to the night of October 31st\u2014then the trick-or-treating begins. There are some great places to embrace the spooky spirit.<\/p>\n

Everyone knows Halloween is all about the parties! Whether you\u2019re sipping on sweet drinks that taste like candy treats or hoping your costume sticks out among the crowd in your favorite bar \u2013 Richmond is the place to be.<\/p>\n
Many haunts are perfectly decorated for the witching hours on Halloween weekend. Looking to avoid ghost towns? CityParking is letting the cat out of the bag with tips on where to party this Halloween!<\/p>\n
Head to Kabana Rooftop by elevator or broomstick for their Silent Disco RVA Halloween Party<\/a> on Friday, October 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. If you\u2019re looking to trade silence for screams, come back to Kabana on Saturday for their Purge-themed party<\/a> from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.<\/p>\n On Saturday, October 28, check out the Juan\u2019s Rooftop and Cantina Day of the Dead<\/a> festival from 1 to 9 p.m. With dollar margaritas, bottomless tacos, a dessert bar and more, even a skeleton would walk away full!<\/p>\n Orange and black not quite your Halloween style? Spend the night of the 28th dolled up in your best pink attire at Quirk Hotel\u2019s Barbie Dream House Halloween<\/a> from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.<\/p>\n Looking for a bar crawl? How about one that starts at noon and includes a goody bag and drink discounts? The Halloween Mimosa Crawl<\/a> kicks off at Bello\u2019s Lounge and Restaurant before taking you to Margarita\u2019s Cantina for a costume contest!<\/p>\n If you\u2019d rather show off your costume for a chance at a grand prize, slither over to Stadium Bar and Lounge. They are keeping it classic this Halloween with a Trick or Treat Party<\/a> and a costume contest that boasts a $500 grand prize! Head over anytime after 9:30 p.m. for a night of howling good fun.<\/p>\n How about the best of both and more? Fallout\u2019s Monster\u2019s Ball <\/a>on Halloween night is guaranteed to fright and delight with tons of costumes, photo ops, a DJ and fun drinks.<\/p>\n As the fog settles on the canal, the spirits of Richmond\u2019s waters come out to play\u2026how eerie!<\/p>\n Starting Friday, October 27th through Sunday, October 29th, Riverfront Canal Cruises will be hosting canal tours with haunting narration<\/a> and sweets to eat for the little ones. Admission is $6 and kids under age 4 are free.<\/p>\n Your terrorizing tours will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, with a new tour every half hour and the last tour departing at 8:30 pm. Boats will depart from the Canal Walk\u2019s Turning Basin at 139 Virginia Street.<\/p>\n Enjoy tales from Richmond\u2019s past based on historical events while passing through the city\u2019s oldest and most historically haunted areas.<\/p>\n Want to take on the ghosts of the city while learning some history? Haunts of Richmond<\/a> has ghost tours that explore the haunted history behind Shockoe Bottom and Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n There are select nights that they cover these areas, but all of the tours they offer run from September 22nd to October 31st. The tours are 90 minutes of outdoor walking with ages 5+ being welcome.<\/p>\n Go see the Shockoe Bottom ghosts and Capitol Hill hauntings before Halloween is over.<\/p>\n Did you know that tucked away in Richmond\u2019s Fan neighborhood is a picture-perfect street lined with pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts and other ghoulish decorations? The 1900 block of Hanover Avenue is known around town for being the perfect street to trick-or-treat on Oct. 31.
